Anthropology Club

The Anthropology Club is a community for all anthropology majors, minors, and prospective majors.   Our chief aim is to create a better community by getting students together to socialize, create networks, and maybe even learn something new while we're at it.  Our activities are informal, and always a good time.  We'd love to see you at our next meeting!

***SPRING EVENTS WILL BE POSTED BY THE END OF FALL TERM***

Ongoing:

Departmental Coffee Hour: Every afternoon, Monday through Thursday, 3 to 4PM in ST 108 (the Anthropology Library) come join us for coffee! Mingle with the grad students, make a new friend, or glean pearls of wisdom from the professors! The coffee is free and company is awesome!

Past:

Cave Art: This event was a huge success, with lots of discussion on symbolism in various cultures! Thank you to all who came and participated! Art is currently on display in the Anthropology Library.

Range Creek Exhibit: The Anthropology Club went to the Museum of Natural History and received a private tour of the Range Creek exhibit from Dr. Duncan Metcalfe! Dr. Metcalfe talked to the members about the historical artifacts found at Range Creek, as well as explained some of the everyday hurtles that archaeologists often face. It was a wonderful tour and we were thrilled to have learned so much!

Cut-It-Up:
The Anthropology Club put old scientific magazines to use by cutting them up and making decorative collages for the Anthropology Library! This event was really fun and was a great chance for all of us to get together at the start of the semester!
