The Department of Anthropology, University of Utah, seeks a bio-cultural anthropologist for a tenure-track position at the assistant or associate professor level. The successful candidate will have an active research program that uses evidence to evaluate theoretically-motivated hypotheses. Ethnographic field experience is strongly desired. Preference will be given to candidates who are willing to help graduate students get access to the field, and who are skilled in both quantitative and qualitative methods. Area of specialization is open, but concentration on health-related issues is a plus. Applications from women and minority candidates are especially desired.
