Master's Course Requirements: Evolutionary Ecology

In addition to the department-wide requirements of history of theory, statistics, and ANTH 6611 (Preparation of grant proposals), the following courses are required of all EE Master's students:

ANTH 5461 - Behavioral Ecology
ANTH 5471 - Fundamental Methods in Evolutionary Ecology
ANTH 6163 - Ethnographic Data Collection
ANTH 6498 - Problems in Evolutionary Anthropology ("journal club")

Electives - 6 to 9 courses (18 to 27 credit hours)

Note: students are required to take the 1-credit hour journal club (Anthropology 6498) for credit at least once, but are encouraged to take or sit in on the course every semester.
