Application Procedures
Acceptance to our graduate program depends as much on the fit between student and faculty interests as it does on student qualifications. We therefore recommend that prospective applicants contact faculty members with whom they would like to work.
Please note that some application materials must be sent to the University Admissions office (application form, transcript) while others must be sent to the department (letters, statement, GRE scores). Sending materials to the wrong address could significantly delay your application. Submit the following to the University admissions office by Dec 15. • The University's application form . • An official transcript from your undergraduate institution(s).
• Results from GRE General Test. • A 500-word statement outlining professional objectives and identifying a faculty member with whom you would like to work. • Three letters of reference, written on the official form
Departmental material should be sent to: If any of this is likely to reach us late, please contact the department office for advice at (801) 581-6251 or email This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it
